Students must bring their own shotgun and 50 shotgun shells (size 7-1/2, 8 or 9 shot, Target Loads only) OR they may use Instructor’s shotgun and ammunition during class for an additional $50.00.
DESCRIPTION:
NRA FIRST (Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training) Steps Shotgun is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific shotgun model. This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific model shotgun at a moving target. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, the particular shotgun model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the shotgun. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.

DESCRIPTION:
NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

REQUIREMENTS:
Students must be age 18 or older, Experienced and Knowledgable in the safe use of a Shotgun (this class is NOT for the beginner). Students must bring their own shotgun and 25 shotgun shells, size 7-1/2, 8 or 9 shot only. This class includes shooting at a stationary target.
DESCRIPTION:
This course is for anyone age 18 or older considering owning a shotgun for potential self-defense purposes. The course is a guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; defensive shotgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.

COURSE LENGTH: 2-1/2 HOURS

Student must bring their own shotgun and ammunition. 100 shotgun shells are recommended.
DESCRIPTION:
Enjoy a 2-1/2 hour private session with a firearms instructor working on specific skills you want to improve. Private Coaching is usually available within 2-3 weeks of the request.
