NRA METALLIC CARTRIDGE RELOADING COURSE

COURSE LENGTH: 8 HOURS

DESCRIPTION:
Learn reloading safety; centerfire cartridge components; using the reloading manual and reloading data; equipment; and the metallic cartridge reloading process. Class includes all materials necessary to provide a hands-on opportunity to reload metallic cartridges for pistols and rifles. You will have the opportunity to test your reloaded ammunition at the outdoor range in your firearm. Class is customized so student learns how to assemble ammunition for use in their firearm. Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a course completion certificate.

METALLIC CARTRIDGE COURSE

NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER COURSE

LOCATION: CLASSROOM AND PRACTICAL EXERCISES AT THE OUTDOOR RANGE (NO LIVE FIRE IS INVOLVED)

COURSE LENGTH: 9 HOURS

MINIMUM AGE: 21

DESCRIPTION:
The RSO course content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings and emergency procedures.

MUZZLELOADING COURSE

FEE: $185 + OPTIONAL $50 TO USE INSTRUCTORS EQUIPMENT DURING CLASS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN

LOCATION: CLASSROOM AND OUTDOOR RANGE

COURSE LENGTH: 9 HOURS

MINIMUM AGE: 15

DESCRIPTION:
This course will cover muzzleloading rifles, shotguns, and pistols (no revolvers!). The course content consists of safety, gun parts, ammunition, fundamentals of shooting, live fire at the range, cleaning of the muzzleloaders and safe storage.

PA FIREARMS LAW SEMINAR

FEE: $30

COURSE LENGTH: 4 HOURS: 10am-2pm

PA HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE

FEE: FREE!

LOCATION: CLASSROOM

COURSE LENGTH: 7-1/2 HOURS

MINIMUM AGE: 11

DESCRIPTION:
This class is required by law for ALL First-time hunters and trappers in Pennsylvania before they can buy a license. Students must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training. Registration is through the PA Game Commission Website – select the date of the class you wish to attend, and click “See Details and Register Here” below to reserve your spot.

Important In order to prepare for your class, read Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9 located at: Today’s Hunter & Trapper in PA.
